About the Swimsuits

The two styles of SeaGem swimsuits, Leilani and Marella, have great coverage, (full chest and bottom with a long boyleg), they are fully lined and therefore flattering and extremely comfortable to wear. The swimsuits are versatile as they are ideal for swimming in a pool, wild swimming, for water sports and activities on the beach. The swimsuits are fun, sporty and ergonomic while giving lots of support, they have an attached shelf bra, and bra cups can easily be placed inside the lining, if required. The high neckline gives protection from the sun’s rays, and they are made of high quality Italian fabric.

The zip at the front on Leilani makes it easy to take on and off. The Marella swimsuit is elegant and stylish, with a full frill, it has a hidden side zip to ease getting in and out of it.

Marella is the Swimming Equivalent of the Little Black Dress

Marella retro styled s wimsuit is the swimming equivalent of the little black dress.

So often swimweawr is the same old style by number with no attention to how the swimsuit actually feels or how it performs while in action. We love SeaGem’s cute, sporty, curve hugging styles that support you while you are having fun.

My family and I went to our favourite beach in Pembrokeshire to do some surfing and, in my case, some amateur
body boarding which I really enjoy. It’s great fun, however I find myself constantly tugging at my costume to stay covered, I knew
what I’d be comfortable and happy in, a swimsuit that stayed in place and was modest while swimming and doing water sports. I resolved there and then, to have this swimsuit made, and to see if other swimmers would like them too.

In early September I took to Google, which is not very original but it works, and I came across The London Pattern Cutter in Greenwich. Emile Vidal Carr is the fashion designer for the company, who with his great team, creates beautiful and bold garments. It’s been a sharp learning curve for me and I’ve been fortunate to have expert help and advice along the way.

The swimsuits are made from soft Italian swimwear fabric, they are fully lined and flattering, are stylish and versatile, and they have an attached shelf bra so are very comfortable and supportive.

On a personal note… my husband and I live in Shropshire, near the Welsh border, I love swimming, walking, baking and travel, and I have a great interest in complimentary therapies, we have three grown up boys and a black Labrador.
